The biggest camera I was ever in

This, which looks like an innocent old Isuzu bus…

… is actually a huge camera.

The “Sightseeing Bus Camera Project” initiated by Tokihiro Sato in 2004 was a huge, driving camera obscura.
I was able to catch a ride for about 10km from an art exhibition back to the next train station and now I know how a roll of film feels…very nauseated! At first it was just pitch dark inside, but after a short while I could see very clearly the surrounding projected to the inside of the bus, but since the projection was upside down and moved in the reverse direction of the bus driving, it was a rather strange experience.
It was really too dark to get a good photo of it, but I tried …

… and tried again.

Very cool, but the other passengers and myself were happy as it was over and we didn’t needed any sickness bags.
